It’s not easy wrangling through 100+ charts and almost 30,000 words of commentary together. We’d like to say a huge thank you to the individuals that made this happen — from transforming raw data into clear, readable charts and providing insightful analysis, to building our website and creating a beautiful printed book to showcase it all.

  • Tom Wehmeier

    Tom is the founder of the State of European Tech Report and Partner and Head of Intelligence at Atomico. This means he has been here since the very first report, with this year's edition being his tenth. Practicing the keynote at home every year means that his 5 and 8 year old are also able to recite it by heart.

  • Sarah Guemouri

    Sarah is co-author of the State of European Tech report and Principal in the Intelligence team at Atomico. This year she is working on her sixth report. Being a trendsetter, Sarah jumped on the NFT train and issued a custom State of European Tech NFT collection back in 2021.

  • Hanna-Stina Sonts

    Hanna-Stina is co-author of the State of European Tech report and Associate in the Intelligence function at Atomico. The 2024 edition is her fourth report. As a native Estonian, she enjoying seeing Estonia top nearly every per capita chart year over year.

  • Abigail Daniels

    Abbie looks after brand and marketing for the State of European Tech alongside her role as Communications Director for Atomico. This year she is working on her third report, leading the team behind the first ever documentary about the progress of the European technology ecosystem. In the process she consumed more than 50 hours of draft film material.

  • Gareth Carless

    Gareth works as Data Scientist at Atomico and helps put together the data analysis for State of European Tech. This is his second year working on the report. In an effort to automate more of our work, he developed SoETGPT to automatically generate the first draft of commentary for each chart.

  • Jocelyn Ng

    Jocelyn is the Data Analyst Intern at Atomico, contributing to the State of European Tech report. For her first report, she refined the country comparison data visualisation, producing 34 iterations before finalising the perfect version.

  • Jami Suominen

    Jami is a Researcher at Slush, and as part of our ongoing partnership, contributed putting together this year's State of European Tech report. Even during the busiest times of data crunching, he will never let excuses get in the way of fitting in a park run.

  • Sarah Drumm

    Sarah supported with copywriting for this year's State of European Tech report. For her first report, she helped put together and refine more than 80 pages of copy.
